AB 308
ILAC MRAThe COCH Research Laboratory (PCA accreditation No. AB 308) offers comprehensive testing of heat pumps across a wide range of capacities and technologies. Our test facilities allow precise determination of energy-efficiency parameters as well as heating and cooling capacities.
We specialise in accredited tests of heat pumps operating in air/water, water/water, refrigerant/water and direct-expansion/water systems. Tests establish energy and operational characteristics for integral or separate condensers, fixed or variable capacity, and stand-alone or multi-part units.
Accredited reports support manufacturers in Ecodesign / energy labelling work and in certification paths such as Heat Pump KEYMARK. COCH is also a Notified Body under the PED Directive 2014/68/EU (EU identification number 1462).
We specialise in testing systems:
Notified Body – PED Directive
COCH is a Notified Body under the PED Directive 2014/68/EU. EU identification number assigned by the European Commission: 1462.
Comprehensive assessment of heat pump performance, safety and conformity with industry standards.
Heating/cooling capacity, electrical input, COP and EER to PN-EN 14511 and PN-EN 15879-1.
Domestic hot water to PN-EN 16147 and seasonal SCOP / SEER / ηs to PN-EN 14825 (including the accredited compensation method) and Ecodesign.
Application range, flow stoppage, power failure, defrost and condensate checks to PN-EN 14511-4.
Leak and pressure strength tests to PN-EN 378-2 / ISO 5149-2 / PN-EN 14276, including PED conformity support.
A-weighted sound pressure and sound power to PN-EN 12102-1/2 and ISO 3744 / 3746.
Household and similar equipment safety for heat pumps, air conditioners and dehumidifiers — PN-EN 60335-2-40.
Laboratory testing, ITT and factory inspection support for Heat Pump KEYMARK certification.
Thermo-climatic chamber work and custom stands designed with the client where needed.
Core accredited measurements for space heating, ground/water, DHW and seasonal performance.
Acoustic tests complement refrigeration and heat-pump programmes (including KEYMARK). We measure A-weighted sound pressure and determine A-weighted sound power under conditions set out in PN-EN 12102-1:2018-03 (unique accredited scope in Poland for selected conditions), PN-EN 12102-2:2019-06, PN-EN ISO 3744:2011 and PN-EN ISO 3746:2011.
Our laboratory and independent certification / inspection bodies can perform the tests, verification, mark award and factory inspection needed for KEYMARK-recognised products. A Heat Pump KEYMARK granted in one country is recognised in all participating countries.
