AC 036We are an accredited product certification body for refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps, operating since 1946. Our mission is to ensure the highest standards of quality, reliability and safety of equipment on the Polish and international market.
We hold Polish Centre for Accreditation certificate AC 036 and operate in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065. The Product Certification Department has been accredited by PCA since 1996. Certificates issued under this accreditation are internationally recognized within the IAF MLA framework.
Product certification is an independent, impartial third-party conformity assessment. Its purpose is to give suppliers, buyers and end users confidence that product parameters have been confirmed against the applicable standards, technical specifications and reference documents — and to support high-quality market placement of HVACR equipment.
Voluntary certification under programme PR-01 covers products in refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps for conformity with the requirements of standards, within the accredited scope. In line with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17067 this is a type 3 programme: sample selection, determination of characteristics (testing and design evaluation), review, certification decision (including the right to use the conformity mark) and surveillance — typically through factory sample testing and assessment of production conditions.
The process starts with an application and technical documentation, followed by evaluation (design/documentation review, product testing in an accredited or recognised laboratory, and inspection of organisational and technical production conditions). After a positive decision a certificate is issued for 3 years, with ongoing surveillance during its validity. Renewal is possible on application before expiry.
Certification helps manufacturers gain easier market access, strengthen competitiveness and customer acceptance, and demonstrate compliance with selected normative requirements — for example safety and environmental requirements for refrigerating systems and heat pumps (EN 378), performance of heat pumps and air conditioners (EN 14511, EN 14825, EN 16147), electrical safety (EN 60335 series), EMC, commercial refrigeration furniture and related product groups. PR-01 is a voluntary accredited path. Separately, placing a product on the EU market may require CE conformity assessment, and manufacturers may also pursue the voluntary Polish safety mark „B” or KEYMARK for heat pumps — see the related service pages.
Under programme PR-01 we certify HVACR products — refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps — and related electrical equipment within the accredited scope.
Air conditioners, heat pumps and heating equipment for domestic and industrial use — including performance assessment to EN 14511 / EN 14825 / EN 16147 where applicable.
Refrigerating systems and commercial refrigeration equipment (e.g. furniture, cabinets) assessed against safety and performance standards such as EN 378 and related product norms.
Fans, air-handling units and related ventilation products within the accredited PR-01 scope.
Household and similar electrical appliances and equipment assessed for electrical safety (EN 60335 series) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
