Professional performance, energy efficiency and safety tests for dehumidifier manufacturers and distributors.
AB 308
ILAC MRAFor over 20 years we have been testing dehumidifiers in collaboration with Polish manufacturers, participating directly in successive generations of R&D projects. Our experience covers condensation dehumidifiers, adsorption dehumidifiers and industrial drying systems.
We offer comprehensive dehumidifier testing including condensation performance, energy consumption, characteristic curves, abnormal operating conditions and electrical safety testing. We also carry out comparative, optimisation and on-site R&D testing at the client's premises.
Electrical safety testing is carried out in accordance with PN-EN 60335-1 and PN-EN 60335-2-40, required for the B mark and LVD Directive 2014/35/EU conformity assessment. Condensation performance is measured under reference conditions specified in EN 20-1 or according to the client's specification. On request we carry out the complete set of tests required for a CE declaration of conformity.
Typical turnaround time for a full set of performance and safety tests: 2–4 weeks from delivery of the device. R&D testing is carried out according to an individual schedule. Technical data and test results are subject to a confidentiality clause — we routinely sign NDAs on request. Quotation sent within 24 hours of enquiry.

Testing of dehumidifiers at the COCH laboratory — condensation performance measurement
Professional laboratory infrastructure for dehumidifier validation and R&D.
Precise measurement of water condensation output under controlled temperature and humidity — reference conditions 30°C / 80% RH (EN 20-1). Result in l/24h.
Measurement and analysis of electricity consumption across the operating range. Efficiency index expressed as l/kWh for ecodesign and product declarations.
Performance curves as a function of ambient conditions for documentation, marketing materials and design optimisation.
Testing device behaviour under extreme or fault conditions — e.g. blocked fan or motor overload.
Electrical safety per PN-EN 60335-1 and PN-EN 60335-2-40 — required for CE marking and Polish B mark certification.
Side-by-side comparison of design variants, refrigerants and control algorithms to support engineering decisions.
Mobile laboratory testing at the manufacturer’s facility for R&D and prototype validation — without transporting units to Kraków.
PN-EN 60335-1, PN-EN 60335-2-40, LVD Directive 2014/35/EU and EN 20-1 reference conditions for condensation performance.
Dehumidifier testing is carried out in accordance with harmonised European standards and EU directives required for B mark certification and CE marking.
Household and similar electrical appliances — Safety — General requirements. Primary electrical safety standard for LVD testing and CE conformity assessment.
Electrical heat pumps, air conditioners and dehumidifiers — Particular requirements. Safety basis for condensation dehumidifiers and B mark testing.
Low Voltage Directive — electrical safety for equipment supplied at 50–1000 V AC or 75–1500 V DC. Required for CE marking and B mark certification.
Reference conditions for measuring dehumidifier condensation performance: inlet temperature 30°C, relative humidity 80%. Result in litres per day (l/24h).

LVD safety, B mark support and energy measurements for HVACR products.

Accredited aerodynamic and performance testing of ventilation fans per ISO 5801.

Accredited heat pump performance testing to PN-EN 14511 and PN-EN 16147.
