How often is a leak check required?

Frequency depends on refrigerant quantity in CO₂eq: equipment with 5–50 t CO₂eq – every 12 months; 50–500 t CO₂eq – every 6 months; above 500 t CO₂eq – every 3 months. Equipment with an installed leak detection system may have extended intervals between checks.

Which refrigerants does the H-10 PRO detector detect?

The H-10 PRO detects halogenated non-flammable refrigerants from CFC, HFC and HCFC groups, including R-22, R-12, R-410A, R-134a, R-404A, R-502, R-507. Device sensitivity is 0.17 g/year.

What regulation requires leak checks?

Regulation (EU) 2024/573 of 7 February 2024 (F-Gas II) and Polish legislation on ozone-depleting substances and F-gases impose regular leak check obligations on operators.

What happens after a leak is detected?

The operator must arrange repair as soon as possible. After repair, a further leak check within 1 month is required, confirmed by a certified technician and recorded in the equipment log book.

Installation inspection

A certified technician inspects the installation and identifies potential leak points: joints, valves, seals and sight glasses.

Measurement with H-10 PRO

We use the H-10 PRO detector - sensitivity 0.17 g/year, suitable for CFC, HFC and HCFC refrigerants. Results are documented in a leak tightness inspection protocol.

Certificate & recommendations

We issue a leak tightness certificate required by F-Gas Regulation, indicate locations requiring repair and set the next inspection schedule.
