COCH in Kraków has been authorised by the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN) to carry out voluntary product certification against the Polish Standard and to issue certificates entitling products to bear the PN mark.
We are pleased to announce that the Central Refrigeration Centre “COCH” in Kraków Sp. z o.o. has been authorised by the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN) to conduct voluntary product certification for conformity with the Polish Standard and to issue certificates entitling products to be marked with the PN mark - the Mark of Conformity with the Polish Standard. This decision was formally confirmed on 31 March 2025 by signing the relevant authorisation by PKN President Ewa Zielińska. The authorisation was granted to the Product Certification Body operating within COCH. Thus COCH’s certification offer has been expanded with another prestigious quality mark. Joining the group of product certification bodies recommended by PKN is a great distinction and proof of trust in our knowledge, experience and independence.
Who is PN certification for?
The granted rights enable COCH to run certification in the HVACR area, covering among others:
refrigeration equipment,
air conditioners,
ventilation systems,
heat pumps,
fans.
Certification against the Polish Standard may be carried out with reference to standards covered by the accreditation scope of COCH Product Certification Body (No. AC 036) granted by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA).
The PN mark – quality, safety, trust
According to information on the PKN website:
"The Polish Committee for Standardization conducts voluntary certification of products and services for conformity with the Polish Standard (Polish Standards).
PN mark certification is performed by PKN or a certification body authorised by the PKN President."
In practice the PN mark:
confirms conformity of a product or service with the relevant Polish Standard or set of standards (including EN, ISO, IEC adopted as PN),
proves successful completion of certification by an independent, competent body,
ensures that the product or service meets all quality and safety requirements of the standard,
expresses trust in the manufacturer or service provider.
The Mark of Conformity with the Polish Standard may be placed on certified products, strengthening market position and highlighting the manufacturer’s care for quality and recognised standards.
