What is a technical recommendation?

A technical recommendation is a voluntary document issued for products to which the Act of 16 April 2004 on construction products does not apply.

It contains the product’s technical properties and performance characteristics and the required level of those properties. It confirms that a construction object in which the product is used can meet the basic requirements set out in the Construction Law Act of 7 July 1994 (Journal of Laws No. 89, item 414, as amended).

COCH experts carry out an independent assessment of documentation and product properties. The recommendation builds market trust for designers, contractors and investors. It does not replace mandatory CE marking or the voluntary safety mark „B” where those regimes apply.
