Testing of military equipment and vehicles
- new accredited testing!
Our Refrigeration Equipment Laboratory is another unit in Poland to obtain accreditation from the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) to perform accredited testing of military equipment and vehicles in accordance with the following normative documents:
- NO-06-A107:2021 cl. 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 – Military equipment – General technical requirements, inspection and test methods – Methods of testing total resistance to environmental factors
- PB-TD, edition 1 of 6 December 2021
Modern military realities and regulations requiring increased resistance of military equipment and vehicles to environmental conditions on the battlefield impose high requirements for reliability and damage resistance of armament and special vehicles. To assess the behaviour of finished technological solutions, laboratory testing is essential – both at the stage of developing models and prototypes of their components and later for finished devices for certification. Test conditions for military equipment are described in the cited normative documents and precisely define the scope and parameters of tests; they are closely linked to the requirements of applicable standards. Such tests are also performed when manufacturers want to use certain commercially available components and must confirm their durability under extreme environmental conditions.
Our offer includes specialised environmental testing (temperature and humidity resistance). The laboratory is equipped with a world-class climatic chamber with available test space dimensions: length 23 m, width 4 m, height 4.6 m. Temperature–humidity parameters can be set over a wide range covering (-35÷70) °C and up to 98% relative humidity.
Tests performed in our unit include the following types:
- Total resistance to reduced and elevated ambient temperature
- Total resistance to increased humidity
- Temperature distribution in the thermo-climatic chamber
- Temperature distribution in the tested objects
