Ensuring safe, high-quality and repeatable production

Conformity assessment of production plants is a key element of reliability for refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump products placed on the European market.

The COCH Inspection Body verifies organisational and technical conditions at manufacturers to confirm repeatable production and conformity with legal requirements and technical standards. Audits cover the factory from the supply chain and component selection through final tests and packaging.

Systematic verification reduces commercial risk and warranty claims, and supports compliance with PED 2014/68/EU, F-gas rules and internal ISO 9001 systems where applicable. Services are performed under PCA accreditation AK 044 (EN ISO/IEC 17020, Type A).

Who is this offer for?

Inspection and plant assessment services are aimed primarily at manufacturers of equipment covered by pressure directives, international agreements and quality standards, in particular:

Refrigeration equipment manufacturers

Manufacturers of insulated transport bodies, chillers, cold-store installations and commercial refrigeration systems.

Heat pump & air-conditioner plants

Factories producing heat pumps, condensers, monobloc and split systems, and air-handling / ventilation units.

Brazing & pressure assembly subcontractors

Companies performing permanent joining (brazing, welding) or assembling refrigeration and pressure pipelines.

Impartiality & rigor

COCH guarantees a transparent conformity assessment process. Inspections are performed by specialised third-party auditors under confidentiality and accreditation rules.

  • PCA Accredited Body No. AK 044
  • Inspection Body Type A
  • Bilingual reports (PL & EN)

Thorough verification of organisational, technical and quality-assurance factors in the manufacturing facility.

Organizational structure & quality control

Verification of the QMS, supplier selection, product quality control, records and employee qualifications.

Production process & machinery

Audit of the assembly sequence, production equipment, tooling and qualified permanent joining technologies.

Measurement instruments & calibration

Inspection of gauges, temperature loggers, scales and meters, including calibration certificates from accredited laboratories.

Materials & pressure components

Traceability of insulation materials and components, including delivery control, filler storage and 3.1 certificates.

Technical documentation & product conformity

Review of production documentation, user manuals, designs, piping diagrams and product quality levels.

ATP & PED-related conformity

Where applicable — conformity with the ATP Agreement or PED 2014/68/EU requirements and factory markings used.

Frequently asked questions

Technical and procedural details regarding conformity assessment of refrigeration and heat pump manufacturing plants.

It confirms that the manufacturer has the technical capability, qualified staff and reliable procedures for safe, repeatable production. For refrigerated transport equipment under the ATP Agreement, factory audits support homologation. For heat pumps and chillers, the audit confirms that pressure circuits are assembled by qualified personnel under stable process parameters in line with PED 2014/68/EU and related standards (e.g. PN-EN 13134:2004).
