Who is this training for?

This training is aimed at a wide range of professionals involved in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and transport & logistics industries.

The training aims to familiarize participants with the obligations resulting from legal acts concerning the installation and operation of refrigeration equipment, in accordance with the Act of October 15, 2015 on substances that deplete the ozone layer and fluorinated greenhouse gases (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 881) and relevant executive regulations. Our course at COCH Krakow combines a comprehensive theoretical lecture with a practical demonstration of the Central Register of Operators (CRO) system, ensuring full preparation for proper equipment management.

Participation in the training allows for efficient and safe management of refrigeration equipment, taking into account environmental protection, technical safety, and applicable legal standards. The knowledge acquired allows for the complete elimination of the risk of expensive administrative fines associated with shortcomings in CRO documentation.

The training is intended both for direct operators of equipment (such as cold stores, industrial air conditioners, heat pumps) and for drivers and operators of refrigerated vehicles equipped with mobile units. The program is an excellent update of knowledge for technicians, transport company owners, and managers of commercial facilities.

All-inclusive organizational package

A spot in the training is guaranteed by prepayment made no later than 3 business days before the planned course. All training materials, complete technical documentation, full catering (including a hot, two-course restaurant lunch), and secure parking at COCH are included in the training price.

Target groups of the training

Target groups

Refrigeration Equipment Operators

Individuals responsible for the daily operation of refrigeration systems in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or warehouse logistics industries.

Mobile Unit Operators

Drivers and operators of trucks and refrigerated trailers, operating mobile units in ATP refrigerated transport.

Refrigeration Technicians and Servicemen

Professionals involved in servicing, maintenance, and repair of equipment, wishing to expand their knowledge of CRO documentation requirements and recovery procedures.

Facility Managers

Owners of transport, logistics companies, and manufacturing plants having refrigeration equipment filled with F-gas refrigerants on stock.

ℹ️ Candidates must be 18+ years of age.

Legal requirements and operator obligations

Managing refrigeration equipment and mobile units involves a range of restrictive legal obligations.

In accordance with Polish and European legislation, operators of refrigeration, air-conditioning, heat pump equipment, and fire protection systems filled with fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) or ozone-depleting substances (ODS) must carry out specific tasks under penalty of administrative fines. The main legal acts regulating this area are:

  • Act of October 15, 2015 on substances that deplete the ozone layer and fluorinated greenhouse gases (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 881 as amended),
  • Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 16, 2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases.

WIOŚ Environmental Audits

Our course at COCH discusses all these procedures in detail, protecting your company against high financial penalties imposed by the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection (WIOŚ).

Key obligations under the F-gas Act

The operator (owner or manager of the equipment) bears direct legal and financial responsibility for carrying out the following tasks:

Registration in the Central Register of Operators (CRO)

Setting up equipment logbooks and timely entry of all service activities (installation, service, leak checking, refrigerant recovery) within 15 days of execution.

Regular leak checks

Ensuring periodic leak checks are performed by certified refrigeration technicians (holding personal F-gas certificates), with a frequency depending on the CO2 equivalent of the refrigerant.

Refrigerant recovery and management

Commissioning refrigerant recovery prior to decommissioning, repair, or modification of equipment only to entities with appropriate qualifications and certificates.

Course syllabus – what does the training cover?

A focused training program, combining theoretical lecture with demonstration of computer software and technical procedures.
