OiB MON accreditation for COCH Kraków – laboratory and product certification

The Central Refrigeration Centre “COCH” in Kraków has joined the narrow group of bodies holding defence and security accreditation granted by the Minister of National Defence. In April 2026 COCH obtained two OiB certificates at once - for the Refrigeration Equipment Laboratory and the Product Certification Department. This is a key step opening new opportunities for cooperation with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and the defence industry.

Temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals may degrade if not stored and transported under strictly controlled environmental conditions, resulting in loss of therapeutic efficacy and, in extreme cases, a risk to patient health. Proper cargo-space temperature mapping is essential for GDP compliance.

Product certification issues for heat pumps

Product certification is an independent and impartial conformity assessment performed by a third party. The assessment is carried out by certification bodies whose activities should comply with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013-03.

Visit of Technical School No. 9 students to the Central Refrigeration Centre

COCH in Kraków hosted a group of 24 students from Technical School No. 9 in Kraków. The visit, attended also by a physics teacher, included practical workshops and presentations on refrigeration technologies.
